So yeah I am an Indian daughter. Indeed two bulky and prestigious words to carry on and carry forward. I am carrying the burden ohhh!! Did I offend you yeah I am carrying the prestigious burden the so-called prestigious burden of being an Indian daughter since 22 years of my so called dignified life. Dignified yes because I lived as per the wishes of my parents and so called society and according to them a girl is devi yes she is a devi iff she abides by the protocols of the society, buries all her desires deep under her heart, kills all her passion career talks just for the sake of her parents and male chauvinist society . And if she does it she is indeed a gem. Are we really humans? Why do only we need to carry on the family name and tradition forward and indeed then we will be considered inferior to men. People loathe me as a strict feminist but have they ever considered it what made me a feminist. It is the male dominated nature of today’s society, despite living In the 21st century we are considered inferior. I always wondered but never dared to ask my parents “why balls are considered as a symbol of bravery and strength when a slight pricking on them can cause excruciating pain whereas vagina can push an entire human being out.” If I would have asked this question I am morally degraded and have lost my values and have become a slut.

There are many people who have myriad perceptions about a daughter . Son faces people in his life but not as many and strange as a daughter. A girl is a daughter, wife, sister, friend, mother and a business women. She plays vivid roles in her life and indeed filling every role with vibrant colors. She is just like the salt “her presence is never noticed, but her absence marks her quality”. I am not praising women high about nor am I degrading manhood but all I want to convey is that “this life cycle is bicycle and men and women are two equal and complementary parts of each other, without even one of them the whole life cycle will be imbalanced”.
So here I am going to take you on a unforgettable and eye opening journey of exploring “THE INDIAN DAUGHTER”. Hope you gather gems of experience from it. At last a heartfelt “Namaste” from Indian daughter.
